What's Frank?
Frank is every student’s most useful service! In Frank App you’ll find the free digital student card and Finland’s best student discounts. With the international ISIC-student card you’ll get over 150 000 discounts in 130 countries on top of that!
As a student, you will find two kinds of benefits from Frank's service: traditional in-store benefits and discount codes for online shopping. We also include useful and informative content for students, job announcements and surveys. In the future we’ll adding more local student discounts and jobs for graduated students.
Frank is open for all second degree and higher education students, who study in a Finnish institute. All together this is over 700 000 students in Finland, from which over 230 000 have chosen Frank!
Frank was founded, when Nordics leading youth and students travel agency KILROY and four national student organisations SAKKI, SAMOK, SLL and SYL got together in 2013. In 2022, a Swedish technology company Mecenat bought Frank. Mecenat is a Swedish student benefit company, so we get to continue cooperation students first.

For students
Frank offers you the official student identifications that you can use both in Finland and abroad.
A list of student ID’s we currently offer:
- A free digital student card for all students
- An international ISIC student ID digitally for all students
- A plastic student card for University or UAS students whose student unions have a collaboration with Frank (see the list here)
- An international ISIC student ID attached to your plastic card for university or UAS students whose student unions have a collaboration with Frank.
Frank Alumni - Continue using your student discounts after graduating! After the student status can’t be verified after graduating or during gap year, user will be changed as a Frank Alumni -user. As an Alumn user you can still use Frank discounts and benefits for 12 months, but student card is blocked. Awesome, isn’t it?!
For student unions
We help student unions for example with informing current events or subjects. We’ve had push-notifications during student union elections. Your organisation reaches students efficiently through Frank App. If you’re interested in connecting directly with your students, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Frank materials for your own websites and channels, as well as introductions about our service can be found from the Frank folder. The link has been shared with unions, in case you need the link, please contact us. If your organisation wants an introduction meeting for new membership personnel, actives and boards, we’ll happily arrange one!
